Signature Tax Service screwed up my tax returns
I thought it was a good idea to have signature tax take care of past returns that I did not file over the past few years. they quoted a price to do all 6 years and I paid them in full out of my checking account.
Two days later they said that i was in danger of having my wages garnished and for another 2500 they would stop this from happening and prevent and further trouble, so I paid. I later found out this was just a lie to get more money after they tried to do the same thing again.
They never stopped trying to weasel more and more money from me. I would not recommend signature as they are sneaky weasels that will try and get every penny they can from you
It's interesting that this poster claims that Signature Tax tried to "weasel" more money out of this supposed client. We specifically have a "FEE GUARANTEE" that we will never ask for additional monies from our Clients. It specifically states the following:
" PriceGuard was created by Signature Tax to provide a price guarantee to our Clients. Basically, what we guarantee is that the fee we charge you is all you’ll ever have to pay for our services. We do not charge exploratory fees, nor do we try to up-sell you as many of our competitors have done in the past and are currently doing."
Signature Tax has never, and will never try to up sell a client.

Signature Lied and took our money
we hired signature tax to help us with unfiled tax returns and to negotiate a payment plan on our behalf. They charged us a flat fee of 3900 bucks.
After getting our money they were impossible to reach and nothing was done on our case at all!! After being ignored for two months I sent a certified letter firing them and demanding a refund or receipt of exactly what they did. I received nothing no refund and no explanation. They just basically robbed us.
Do not ever use this company. I am going to sue them for the money they took and file a grevience with the attorney general. It was like a switch flipped as soon as our check cleared.
They are a scam and if you hire them kiss your money good by. You would be better off dealing with the irs yourself than with these crooks
Of course the above post is "Anonymous", so its impossible to address the actual Client, which is in doubt.

SCAMMED BY SIGNATURE TAX
We hired Signature Tax in march They have done nothing for us told us they can help with lower are plenty and interest , they said the filed a offer in compromise i found out they offer $1. we owed $ 27000.00 we got it down to 12000.00 told us we can be settle in 3 yrs still paying .

This post is an absolute fraud. It was created by one of our competitors.
To begin with we would never offer $1, on an Offer in Compromise. Secondly, this poster said he settled his IRS debt for $12,000.00. The only way to get a reduction on your tax debt like that is through an offer in compromise which currently is taking 9 to 12 months just to get it reviewed by the IRS, and a couple more months for final approval.

You are the one receiving "nasty" letters from the IRS, not your preparer or P.O.A. or whomever else you are blaming for signing off on incorrect or inadequate 1040 for X number of years. You are ultimately completely responsible hen that return is filed.
If there are errors, omissions, etc., you may be able to file an amended return for that period. Whatever else happens, do not simply ignore the threat and hope that someone else will fix it.
They will be Happy to get your fee & leave you with tax issu

Good luck they filed BK..owner took off with all monies. As far as the other comments..we signed a power of attorney with signature tax..only they could talk to the IRS..have a tax lawyer now..
